Roamers of Resin

It happened only yesterday, and yesterday was an eon ago.

The living city of Resin was besieged, and the Enemy had breached the Weeping Walls. The city's finest guardians, generals, and Loom Mages could not hold back the tide of Star Giants, Ichorlings, and Thornbearers that poured through the gap.

In the end, it was the city itself who saved us. The mind of Resin, wise and serene, activated the Perilous Device, flinging us through time to a  far-future age. To a world of  red soil lit by the rays of a blue sun. To a land of nomads who drive herds of mighty ant-eaters. To a realm of noble necromancers who dwell, languid, in coral vaults.

In this arid age, the living City of Resin grows dormant from lack of food and its authority over its people weakens. Roamers, champions of  the living city, ride out into these uncharted lands – some seeking wealth and knowledge, other striving for revenge or redemption.

Faced with the withering death of their home, will the deeds of these Roamers bring salvation to Resin, or usher in the city's final doom?
