SWORDS AND SHADES is a collection of one-page fantasy roleplaying games designed to tell stories about mercenaries and spirits adrift in a magical land consumed by a continent-spanning war.

– Gallant duels between bittersweet rivals.
– Passionate rendezvous between friends, lovers, and family.
– Grueling, frightening, and morally compromising military campaigns.
– Frantic chases where the hunter pursues their quarry through glen, field, and city street.
– Epic sword-smithing sequences where a Sell-Sword and their Shade forge a blade from steel and quench it in magic.
– Tenses clashes of wills where the Sell-Sword bargains with their Shade for more powers and services.
– Good, old-fashioned dungeon-crawling (it's a fantasy RPG, after all!)
