SONGS OF THE EARTHBORN

At the dawn of time, there was only water – an ocean dark and deep, eternal monsters swimming in its depths.

Then the JADE STAR and the VIOLET MOON slew the fiercest monster of the deep and caked its corpse with mud to create LAND.

From the Land, like a chick hatching from their egg, there rose MAIDEN EARTH, who created plants that grow, animals that creep, and People to cherish her bounty.

Maiden Earth loves all People and all Clans as her children, but does not stand idly by as they fall to depravity or suffer at the hands of the cruel and greedy.

And so it is that, in the face of evil, she sends the EARTHBORN – heroes born from her holy sod, half mortal and half divine – to set the Land to rights.

SONGS OF THE EARTHBORN was first made for the Minimalist TTRPG Jam, and it's built off the rules of Jason Tocci's excellent and very hackable 24XX SRD.

Thematically, this tabletop roleplaying game  was inspired by the bizarre epicness of Irish Mythology, as seen in mythical epics like The Tain or The Book of Invasions. 

Conceptually, this tabletop RPG was born from a love of the beautifully detailed mythic fantasy settings within RuneQuest and Exalted, plus a desire to create an RPG system for those settings that is much, MUCH less mechanically complex.

In short, get this game if you like stories about demigod-level fantasy heroes who punch mountains in half, get tangled up in romantic affairs or reckless oaths, and are driven by larger-than-life passions!
